Hey there, everyone! We’re back with episode four of season two, Anaconda! The title didn’t make too much sense at first, but as the story played out it tied in perfectly with the story of the episode! We decided that the A story had to be Brandon and his adventures of secret poker games. The B story was all about Dylan and his current life struggles of this episode. There was also a small C plot of Brenda getting severely sunburnt, which was quite amusing for these two quick-to-burn Montana girls! (Rebecca actually has a sun allergy, LOL!) Steve starts off the episode telling Brandon all about an annual tradition of the club members’ kids breaking into the club at night to play poker. Brandon is extremely hesitant about it at first, but warms up to the idea and helps them get into the club. He lies to Henry about having knowledge about the break-in, until one night the club gets robbed, and Henry is nearly blamed. He steps up and tells the truth, much to the dismay of Steve and his buddies. The poker story is where we get our title from, as they’re playing Anaconda style poker. They had a lot of fun with the costumes, and we loved the montage of all the teens talking about their breaking-and-entering adventure! The B story centered around Dylan, which usually means there’s dramatics involved! Dylan is avoiding his mother in Hawaii, because he doesn’t want to ask her for financial help, despite his need for it. He spends a lot of the episode finding any way possible to get a few bucks without having to feel like a charity case; things like selling personal belongings and gambling quickly become his options. Will he end up going to see his mother and get her help? Or will he stay at the Walsh’s even longer? This episode was a lot of fun, and gave us some more insight into some of our characters. We got to see more about what made Henry who he is as a character, and Dylan was dealing with a lot of feelings many of us encounter when we’re feeling embarrassed about needing help. Brandon was actually not chasing skirts this episode, and we got to see Brenda and Donna bonding separate from Kelly! We can’t wait for you guys to listen to this week’s episode, and we’d love to know your thoughts! Was there anything that stood out to you guys that we forgot to mention? Did you pity Brenda in her situation, or shake your head at how you could see yourself doing something silly like she did? Let us know! We appreciate you guys, and we’ll catch you all next week with episode five: Play it Again, David! Thanks for listening! Hannah Belle’s Rating: 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑(.5) Rebecca’s Rating: 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑(.5) Steve jumping into the dirty laundry cart amused us both!! Every episode so far this summer season, every employee at the beach club wore the same green shirts. THIS episode, Henry wore pink! No idea why the sudden change, but he looks good in pink! For gosh sakes woman, stay out of the sun! Life lesson us pasty girls who burn easily need to be reminded of. SPF 70 for these Montana girls! We forgot to mention that Hannah Belle actually owns a purple flapper dress! She would have fit in great at this poker night! Hey everyone, we’re back with another episode! This week we’re talking about Summer Storm, and this one was a really fun one or talk about! We changed up our discussion format for the podcast, so check it out and tell us what you think of the new style! We split the episode into 3 storylines, an A, B, and C story. The C story is very brief, but a whole lot of fun! David and Donna act out a scene from Romeo and Juliet in a very...creative fashion. The picture you see here of David in a dress and Donna dolled up as Romeo features a few shots from throughout the scene in the show, and obviously it was quite the hit with their classmates! Our B story was Kelly, and her pursuit of a cute boy she spotted on the beach. We get to catch up with her mom, last seen in Perfect Mom, and it looks like she’s doing much better! While Kelly goes after this boy, Kyle, she learns that maybe there’s times when being blunt and forward isn’t always the way to handle things. I don’t want to spoil the plot for anyone who hasn’t seen it, so you’ll have the check out the full thing for yourselves! Finally, the A story was all about Dylan. With his dad getting back into the country and therefore getting arrested, his life is a bit turned upside down. Especially after a surf accident leaves him needing to be cared for while he recovers. Luckily, Cindy volunteers the Walsh residence for him to stay and let her care for him. Absolutely no shenanigans will occur, right? Obviously, things don’t go as smoothly as we might’ve hoped, and we get to see a lot more of Dylan and we start to understand why he acts the way he does sometimes. Overall, this was a whole lot of fun to watch, despite the fact that both of us cried watching the episode. And, it was even more fun to talk about! Listen to the podcast to hear our full discussion! We talked about everything from Ian Ziering’s health routine to discussing Shakespeare and the many adventures of trying to find proper fitting costumes. Check it out, and tell us what you think! Our ratings for the week are at the bottom, and if you have your own Peach Scale Rating to share, let us know! Did you like this episode as much as we did? Did we give it more praise than you think we should’ve given it? We’d love to know your thoughts! We appreciate you guys tuning in every week, and all of you who may be finding us for the first time. Thanks for listening! Rebecca’s Rating: 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑 Hannah Belle’s Rating: 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑 Oh these two kids, just kiss already! Oh wait, they do... Steve > Kyle every day! Welcome Back 2 the Peach Pit! Our dogs joined us this week, so we were working around a couple of very adorable distractions, one of which is pictured here. Buster just wouldn’t leave poor Rebecca alone! Despite the distraction, this week was full of laughter and fun discussions, and we got a bit of a better idea of what everyone has going on this summer! Brandon meets a member of the club named Rattinger, and this guy gave us both the creeps when we first saw him on screen. We weren’t fans of his character, or his influence on Brandon. He also meets a fellow employee of the club, a girl named Sandy who apparently has a lot more going on in her life than Brandon initially thought. Brenda is enjoying distracting herself from the teenage drama of West Beverly’s students by working on a project for her acting class. She’s attempting to recall a memory from her childhood, and how to display the emotions she felt during that memory. She has some hilarious methods that she uses to try and jog her memory, and we had a pretty good laugh about Brenda’s antics! While we didn’t rate this episode as highly as we might other episodes, we did enjoy talking about this one! We discussed after we stopped recording how we both look forward to the excitement of the new season to pick up, and we were a bit disappointed by the plot lines in this particular episode. The story seemed recycled, and some of the characters didn’t act entirely like we’ve known them to act or make decisions. But, we hope you guys enjoyed listening to us talk about The Party Fish, and we thank you guys for being understanding of the publishing delay this week! We’ll be taking a week off for Easter this Sunday, so we’ll see you guys the week after with Season 2 Episode 3: Summer Storm! Thanks for reading! We appreciate you guys tuning in each week! Rebecca’s Rating: 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑 Hannah Belle’s Rating: 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑 The clingy, not miniature, miniature dachshund, Buster. Needy little old man dog! Rattinger has won the title of LEAST favorite character to date! Ok, the tandem bike day date was actually rather sweet! The gang (minus David) all together waiting for grunions. Welcome Back 2 the Peach Pit! We’re kicking off season two with a few changes, and we’re hoping it’s for the better! We’ve changed up our format, so we’re doing a lot less play-by-play of what happened in the episode. We’re aiming for more of a solid general discussion on each episode, to hopefully be able to get more in depth without worrying about “what happens next?”
This week’s screengrabs are a good overview of the events of the episode. Brandon has a very unique interview for a job that he is perhaps slightly unqualified for, but the interviewer has something different in mind for him. Brenda and Dylan are having relationship problems throughout the episode, even starting at the end of season one when she told him she was “Late.” The picture we’ve included takes place during the big dramatic conclusion of all of those problems and how that affects their relationship going forward. Brenda and Donna signed up for an acting class that takes place during the summer, and when they get to the first day of class they find out that Andrea signed up as well! The three girls will be spending a lot of time together so it will be fun to see how that grows their friendships! We had a blast jumping into the new season, and we hope you guys did too! If you’d like to tell us your own Peach Scale Rating for this episode, go to any of our social media pages and let us know in the comments of this week’s post! We’d love to see how our Back 2 the Peach Pit listeners are rating the show themselves! Here’s our ratings for this week: Rebecca- 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑.5 Hannah Belle- 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑 We hope you enjoyed this week’s podcast, and we hope you have a fantastic week, everyone! Thanks for listening!! It’s hard to believe, but we MADE IT THROUGH SEASON ONE!! In our S1 Final Exam pod, we had the chaotic experience of Abigail joining us for the first half. From moments of Abigail trying to clip the new lapel mic in her hair “Hamilton style” to a showdown of who can buzz in first in a game show style quiz, you get to hear the crazy chaotic sister dynamics while mama bear plays referee. We compared screengrabs of our characters from the start to the finish of the season, discussing the Walshes “LA glow-up”, and all our characters big changes. To see those pictures, follow us on Facebook or Instagram! Below you’ll find our “90210 as DOGS” fun that Rebecca & Hannah Belle discussed in the second half. We honestly can’t thank you, our listeners, enough!! We are blown away each week when we see the stats that y’all are listening week after week, all around the world! We are a simple mother and daughter who are loving sharing our crazy love of 90’s TV with you all. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Next week, we start into SEASON TWO! This is one of Rebecca’s favorite seasons. We can’t wait to watch it through and discuss it with you. Steve - Pomeranian poodle, anxious, highly active, bundle of fun, lovable Brenda - Catalan Sheepdog, a herding breed, exuberant, playful, intelligent, gentle, protective of those they love. Donna - Boston terrier - very intelligent, affectionate, extremely lovable, sometimes stubborn, with spurts of hyperactivity Kelly - Maltese, aristocratic, fearless, willful, responds well to reward based training. Dylan - Blue nose pit bull, misunderstood, loyal, loving, playful, energetic, can become easily frustrated with boredom Andrea - Border collie, the most intelligent dog, tenacious, energetic, keen. David - Irish wolfhound, tallest breed, sweet tempered, loyal, thoughtful, extremely lovable Brandon - Australian Shepherd, blue eyed, smart, loyal, good natured, protective Happy Tuesday, everybody! It’s the season finale, and it was a rollercoaster of emotions when watching the episode! This final episode of season one really shows how much some of our characters have grown, and it gives them all plenty of room to grow even further! One of the things we’ve loved since the beginning of the show is the relationships. Between the mother/daughter relationships that they do so well with Cindy and Brenda (and everybody else in the show), or the dynamic friendships between our group of teens, or the sibling bond that Brenda and Brandon have. We’ve always felt drawn to the relationships as one of the best things about this show. And this season finale is ALL about the relationships! We get to see a strain on several of our longer-term relationships like Brenda and Dylan, and even the friendship between Steve and Brandon was almost uncomfortable at certain points of the episode. But the mood was brightened by a long-awaited relation”ship” setting sail in this episode, which made us quite happy to see finally come to life! A lot of this episode brought on the need to reach for the tissues, and yet it turned out to be our absolute favorite episode so far!! No question, this episode is worth going and watching, and it is worth tuning in to hear our further discussions on the episode! We cannot wait to hear from you guys about what you thought of the episode, and what you think about the podcast! Next week, we move on to our FINAL EXAM! A pop quiz, a discussion about which type of dog each character would be, and even more crazy fun is in store, along with a few surprises that you’ll have to tune in to find out about! Which moment of this episode was your favorite? Can anybody who knows the L.A. area tell us what pier it is that Brandon and Andrea go to? Contact us and let us know! Hope everybody out there has a great week! Thanks for reading! Andrea finally made a move on Brandon! The Walsh family dealing with the reality of moving back to Minneapolis. Their first date! They are adorable! Listen to the sign, GO FOR IT! Celebrating after Jim announces the Walshes are staying in Beverly Hills! And for our season finale cliffhanger, Brenda just told Dylan that, she is ‘late’... Happy Tuesday, everybody! This week was a BLAST for us, both watching the episode and recording the podcast! (Sorry, not sorry, for the laugh fest that ensued...) We’re nearing the end of season one, and it’s showing in the type of character growth our gang is getting. As they begin setting up for the next season, we see quite a lot of drama in this episode that we get to unpack here on Back 2 the Peach Pit. We discuss the differences in a high school girl going to a dance versus a guy going to one, we touch on a few different relationships with various kinds of strain on them, and we see how our group of teens learn to be better friends towards each other. Our pictures this week show off some of the lovely fashion that you’d see at West Beverly High’s 1991 Spring Dance, and we are especially fond of Donna’s red princess dress and Andrea’s gorgeous evening gown! Rebecca also shares the picture she told you about from her dress twinning situation in her teen years. Go check out the podcast to hear our reactions and conversations about this week’s 90210 episode, Spring Dance! As we prepare for our Final Exam episode, we'd love your input on what type of dog you'd cast for each character in our game of "90210 as Dogs"! Next week, we’ll be talking about the finale of 90210’s first season!! Tune in and let us know what you think! Have a great week, y’all! What was up with these glasses? HAHA! We were very amused by the door in the guys dressing room! And, of course, dress shopping! Traditional prom pose. Matching dresses and all! Teenage Rebecca with the matching dress she told y'all about in the pod. Andrea in her head, "You said he liked me..." Andrea looked BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! The whole gang (minus David) We are SO close to the end of season 1! Only 9 more to go. We know that many rewatch podcasts don't make it past the first season, heck, a lot don't even make it THROUGH the first season! This stat does NOT apply to us! We are getting more excited to keep improving and enjoying this show together! After today, there are only TWO more episodes this season! Then we will have our Final Exam episode. We are planning some fun segments for that one! If you have any ideas you'd like us to consider for that episode, shout them out! We are for sure open to suggestions. :-) Now, this episode, Spring Training. It wasn't a BAD episode, but this far into the season, it felt, well, blah. To us at least! Take a listen to this pod to see if you agree or disagree with us. We *do* still have some of our Final Exam stickers left! We want to give one to YOU! Last, but most definitely not least, we now have a Patreon! To check out how you can easily support this podcast, go to www.patreon.com/Back2thePeachPit Oh Brenda, the expressions on your family's face says you've brought home dogs before... Brandon kept his composure quite well with a bratty child in his face! Manny and The Pitts! Sounds like a band name. Buster, the fat little old man dog who made an appearance (along with his camera shy "sister" Molly). Those eyes! Yes, he gets his way. A lot. Happy Tuesday to all of our awesome listeners! We want to start off today’s blog with a big shout out to our listeners in New Zealand, Ohio, and Virginia! Whoever y’all are out there, we see you’ve been listening through a handful of episodes recently. We appreciate you, and all of our listeners! So fun to know this silly mother/daughter time is being enjoyed around the world! Now, onto the topic at hand, “April is the Cruelest Month”. This episode was deep and hit close to home in ways we didn’t expect. Rebecca opened up about her high school experience with an (at that time) undiagnosed learning disability. Hannah Belle recognized the signs of a suicidal character quickly. And even through such heavy topics, we found laughter in the lighter moments! After today, we only have THREE more episodes before our season one Final Exam episode!! We still have stickers left! So get those messages sent in (details in the pod) so we can send you one of these! This week’s PSA is probably THE most important one to date. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, please reach out to a trusted friend and/or a professional. Go to www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org , or call 800-273-8255 Or if you suspect someone you know is drifting down that dark path, step in! It is better to do something and be wrong about your suspicions, than to shrug it off and regretfully have been right. Friends far and near, whether we’ve ever met or you are simply a listener, you are LOVED! We here at Back 2 the Peach Pit love and appreciate each and every one of you! Below you'll find the screengrabs we discussed in this pod. Dylan & Brenda being adorable, walking with Kelly, they see Donna... Roger is a troubled guy! Twin Porches Brandon may not be your BEST friend, but he *will* be THE best friend you have! Hey there everyone, another Tuesday, another episode of Back 2 The Peach Pit! This week was one of our absolute FAVORITE episodes so far!! There was a ton of fun drama this week to discuss, including some in the photos we’ve put up here! We got to see some unique interactions with characters, and we got to see our group deal with something serious that most of them haven’t had to deal with before. Follow this link to read up on Shannen Doherty’s battle with breast cancer that we discuss in this episode. https://www.prevention.com/health/health-conditions/a34221216/shannen-doherty-breast-cancer-recurrence-back-pain/ Amongst the hilarious moments that balanced this serious episode out was an entire dream sequence courtesy of Brenda, and guys, it was hilarious! We all know Brenda is dramatic, but she takes it to a bit of an extreme this time! The stress our characters were battling of the upcoming SAT tests reminds us that our final exam episode is coming up fast! We’ve only got 4 episodes left until the end of season, so make sure you keep tuning in, and send us a message to tell us what you think! You’ll get your free limited-edition sticker, AND you’ll be entered into the raffle for a free T-shirt or face mask! With the topic of the episode, we’ve included a couple of different links to help anyone who may need the PSA! One in the podcast description and one above. In addition to those, if you'd like to support this podcast in our efforts to improve, check out www.patreon.com/Back2thePeachPit Hope everyone who’s reading is well, and we can’t wait to hear from y’all! Next week, we’ll be talking about “April is the Cruelest Month!” Is this a Macintosh laptop? STEVE & ANDREA KISS!!!!!!! Dylan is so sweet, went to 5 hospitals to find her & bring her flowers! Awwww! Friend hug! |
